Logger Baseball Wins Again Against Spoon River

Springfield, IL – Logger Baseball Sweep Two More Games from Spoon River.  LLCC baseball wins the first game of the double-header 10-3. The Loggers collected ten hits in the opening game.  Mike Fitzgerld was 2-for-2 with 2 RBIs.  Fitzgerald hit a two run homerun in the 6th inning. First baseman Max Rhodes was 2-for-3 and Jake Lance contributed to the efforts by hitting a 3 run homer in the 5th inning. 
 
Winning pitcher was Dan Reiser, now 5-1 on the year.  Reiser pitched six innings giving up 6 hits and striking out 8 Spoon River hitters.
 
Ryan Aper was 4-for-4 in the 11-3 second game win.  Aper also hit a solo home run in this game.  Aper, Jake Lance and Brandon Weller each had a triple in the win.  Jake Ingold was 3-for-5 with a double and Seth Hale followed with 2-for-4 and a double.
 
Clint Sestak pitched 6 and picking up the win.  Sestak is 6-1 on the season.  Sestak pitched 6 innings giving up 5 hits, walking none and striking out 4 hitters.
 
The Loggers are now 34 – 16 and 16 - 12 in the MWAC.
