Springfield, IL – Loggers beat Spoon River 8-0 in the first game.   The Loggers were leading Spoon River Rage 5-2 in the top of the third when the game was halted due to rain (Game completed on 4/12).
 
The Lady Loggers scored 8 runs only 6 hits and 15 Logger batters reached base safely.  Jen Detmer was 2-for-2 with a homer in the 4^th inning.  Detmer had 2 RBI’s.  Winning pitcher Brittney Reecer (6-4) gave up only three hits and struck out four.
 
The suspended game, played as the first game before a regular scheduled double-header at Spoon River ended 11-3 with the Loggers claiming victory.  Kaity Schultz took the win in her first start as a Logger pitcher.  Schultz faced 20 hitters, gave up 5 hits and struck out 5 in the shortened 8 run rule game.
