Lincoln, IL – The Logger baseball team opened their conference schedule with Lincoln College after going 10-3 on their spring trip to Central Florida. Losing the first game 7-1, the Loggers came back to beat Lincoln College in the night cap 12-3. Steven Sotiropoulos held the Logger hitters to just 4 hits in the opener. Sotiropoulos went the distance for Lincoln College.
The bats came alive for the Loggers in the second game collecting 11 hits. Jake Ingold went 2-for-4 with a triple and a 2 run homer in the top of the 3
rd. Ryan Aper and Jake Lance also had two hits in the second game. Lincoln College collected 10 hits while stranding 14 runners on base.
Brandon Shaw, now 2-1, went 5 innings to get the win. The Loggers will play Lincoln again tomorrow in Springfield. LLCC is now 11-5 on the season and 1-1 in the conference.
