Canton, IL – Excellent pitching and key hits allowed the Lady Loggers to sweep two from Spoon River.  Sophomore pitcher Payge Bowen, now 7-3, got the win in the first game.   Bowen went the distance allowing only three hits and striking out 13 (personal best).
 
Multiple hitters for Lincoln Land were Sami Estill (double) and Shelby Batterton who was 2-for-3 with two triples.  Base running was the key to winning this game.   Sami Estill stole three bases and scored two runs.
 
Walks, errors and key hits allowed the Loggers to win the second game 9-1.  Another excellent pitching performance by Kayti Lundin gave her the victory (11-4 record).  Lundin allowed only one hit and struck out 8 in this game. 
 
Kaity Schultz went 2-for-2 along with freshman catcher Sam Remmert who was 2-for-3 with double to drive in one run in the 4^th. 
 
The Loggers continue their winning streak to take them to 25-14 on the season.
