Lincoln Land Community College Athletics

Sydney is a 2022 graduate of Watseka Community High School where she played Volleyball, Basketball, Softball, Tennis earning four letters. She was a member of the National Honor Society. During her freshmen year she Lettered in Volleyball and Softball, her sophomore year she Lettered in Basketball, was named to the All-tournament Team Manteno Early Bird Tournament, was a WGFA Player of the Week, made the Daily Journal All-Area Team First team, Sangamon Valley Conference Honors, first team Iroquois County First team and set a school Record for most digs in a Season- 575. Her junior year she lettered in Tennis, was a Sangamon Valley Conference Honors Volleyball First team, Iroquois County Volleyball First team, Iroquois County Basketball Honorable Mention, Sangamon Valley Conference Honors Basketball Honorable Mention. Her senior year she earned the WCIA Channel 3 News player of the week, wad a Vermillion Valley Conference Volleyball Honors First team, an Iroquois County Volleyball first team selection, a Regional Volleyball All-star the WGFA basketball player of the week, IBCA Basketball All-star, All State Basketball Special Mention, Kankakee Journal All Area Softball Special Mention and set the school record for most digs in a career- 1,459. She plans to become a math teacher and coach volleyball. She is the daughter of Kirk and Christine McTaggart.
