Werth was one of the Nation's top high school players attending Glenwood High School (Chatham, IL).  Established (and still holds) the Illinois High School state record with 2,022 career kills. Finished High School Career with School Records for kills (2,022), digs (936), aces (183), blocks (252) & hitting percentage (.331) playing under the legendary Coach LarrySample. As a Glenwood Titan, Werth and her team won 3 consecutive Central State 8 Conference Titles, with Werth being named CS8 Conference Player of the Year during all 3 years. Werth earned 3 time All-State picks by the Champaign News-Gazette and Chicago Tribune. Awarded State Player of the Year Honors by the Champaign News-Gazette (2008). Chosen as a National First-Team All-American by Volleyball Magazine and a National First-Team All-American by the AVCA (The American Volleyball Coaches Association). ESPY Nominee for Best High School Performance as the Under Armour All-American MVP in 2008 competing as an Outside Hitter and Libero in the Under Armour All-American match. Named the 2008 Gatorade Illinois High School Player of the Year- positions including both Outside Hitter & Setter.

Named to the Gold-Medal winning U.S. Junior National Team (2007-2008) Participating in NORCECA Continental Women's Junior Championships qualifying for World Championships. Also, was named to the Women's U.S. Junior National Team the previous year (2006-2007) Competing in the World Championships as a 6 rotation starter in Mexico City, Mexico.

Werth played Club Volleyball for Coach Andy Erins at Illini Elite Volleyball Club (2006 - 2008) (Bloomington, IL). Earned MVP Honors at the 2008 AAU National Championships competing in the 17 Open Division - after helping her team win the National Title. Earned MVP Honors at the 2008 JVA National Championship – after Werth and team finished 2nd in the 17 Open Division. Earned All-American Honors in the 2007 16 & Under USA Volleyball National Championships. Werth played all the following positions during High School Career and received a high level honor for each position performance; Outside Hitter, Right Side Hitter, Middle Blocker, Setter & Libero.

Six-Time Big 12 Rookie of the Week. Won a Big 10 Championship. Won a Big 12 Championship. Named Team Captain Senior Year (2012). Finished Nebraska Volleyball career with 1,286 kills and 1,367 digs.

Professional Career

Werth continued her playing  career after college as a Professional Volleyball Player. Her first professional contract was with The Bayamon Vaqueras Club in Bayamon, Puerto Rico in 2013. Despite suffering a torn rotator cuff, Werth was still named to the League's 2013 Season All-Star Team. This injury led to the birth and development of The Hannah Werth Volleyball Academy.
After Recovering from shoulder surgery, Werth signed with The Juncos Valencianas in Junco, Puerto Rico for the 2014 Season. Ending the season as one of the best players in the league. In between professional seasons in 2014, Werth represented ESPN as an Analyst for Division I Volleyball Live Broadcasting. This opportunity allowed the honor to work with national and world renowned announcers, including, Sam Gore and Paul Sunderland (NBC Sports Group's Summer Olympics Coverage). Covered Color for Matches including teams ranked in the top 10 in the Nation at that time; Nebraska, Penn State, University of Illinois & University of Minnesota.

In November of 2014, Werth was invited to Bursa, Turkey to train with Bursa BBSK Professional Volleyball Club, this organization participates in the FIVB World League. Although Werth transitioned to continue training opportunities to Villasburg Germany, the invitation and opportunity to train in Turkey was amongst the highest career honors. Following the training opportunity in Germany, Werth signed with a team in the A2 Italian Series, Volley Soverato, located in Soverato, Italy. After Werth's time in Italy, she finished the 2015 season back in Juncos Puerto Rico, with her former club. This concluded Werth's professional volleyball career.

Coaching

The Hannah Werth Volleyball Academy has been providing elite level training via private & small group lessons, clinics and throughout the Midwest. Obtaining over 7 years of training and coaching experience through personally running a successful small business. One of the main focuses of HDUB VBA is training proper biomechanics and skill development- in turn teaching athletes’ self-discipline, independence, confidence, leadership, time management & responsibility for self. Have trained every age & skill level. Many HDUB VBA clients have continued their playing careers at the next level. Werth provides youth athletes with her own experiences Assistant Club Volleyball Coach Fusion Volleyball Club (Batavia, IL), 2020 - 2021. Lead Trainer Fusion Volleyball Club 2020 - 2021. Volunteer Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach Missouri State University 2017 – 2019. Interim Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach Missouri StateUniversity 2019 – 2020. Club Volleyball Assistant Director 417 Net Results (Nixa, MO) 2018 – 2020. 417 Net Result Club Volleyball Coach 417 Net Results, 2017 – 2020. Volunteer Assistant Women's Volleyball Coach University of Illinois, Springfield, 2013 – 2016.

Players under the HDUB VBA Club Team earned MEQ National Qualifier Championship - 16's Division. Werth coached this club team for 3 years (15's, 16's & 17's age division). 6 of 8 club players earning Division I, II or III Full-Ride Volleyball Scholarships. Club team Ranked Nationally. Produced nationally ranked players in Recruiting. HDUB VBA Players earned Missouri State High School Individual Honors & State Titles as well as Individual Player National awards and recognitions. Some honors earned by HDUB VBA clients & team members include; Southwest Player of the Year, Best Player in the State of Missouri, Missouri Sports Commissioners Player of the Year, AVCA High School First TeamAll-American & Honorable Mention, AVCA Under Armour High School All-America First Team,
First Team All-State Academic, First Team Athletic All-State Recognition, AVCA High School All- Region Selections, First Team Best and Brightest Award. Players also earned All-Time Records for their High School Programs & All-Time Records for the State of Missouri, including All-Time Assets Record & All time Kills shattering preexisting School Records. Nominees for the Southwest Player of the year, 6 of the 12 nominees, as well as the 3 finalist and ultimately the Player of the year, were all HDUB VBA Team Members for 3 years. TheSouthwest Player of the Year Award was presented by 3 x Gold Medal Olympian Kerri Walsh Jennings. All 6 nominees for The Commissioners Southwest Player of the Year Award, all trained under and played club for HDUB VBA.

Werth has started as the Athletic Department's Sports Information Specialist as of January 2023. Duties of this job include assistance with running the Athletic website, digital media creation, and social media development for all sports in the department.
