Coach David Meyer first joined the Logger's coaching staff in the inaugural 2020 season as the assistant coach. Meyer became the head coach of the soccer team in the fall of 2022. Meyer has been coaching in the Springfield Area for 25 years. He holds a USSF "E" and a USSF "D" license. David has spent most of his coaching career at the Springfield Area Soccer Association coaching both boys and girls of all ages. He was also an assistant coach for Springfield High School in 2016.
David is a 1999 Graduate of Lanphier High School where he led the Lions as the Team-Captain and the leading scorer his senior year. He is also a former Springfield Area Soccer Association player and later went on to play for the Loggers in 2000, helping lead the team to a conference championship. He continues to play the sport he loves in area leagues and pickup games, even playing against the kids he once coached. He and his wife Tara reside in Springfield with their two children Caden and Kaleigh.
When asked about becoming the Head Coach of Lincoln Land Women's Soccer, David said, "I was fortunate to be part of this programs beginning and I want to continue growing it. I believe we have enough interest in the area to be successful and to be a destination for future players".
