Lincoln Land Community College Athletics

Whitney is a 2023 graduate of Tremont High School where she was a member of the basketball, volleyball and track teams earning nine varsity letters. During her sophomore year she earned First team all-conference in basketball and Second team all-conference in volleyball. For her efforts her Junior year she was a First team all-conference unanimous selection in basketball, First team all defense in basketball and First team all-conference in volleyball. Her senior year she earned First team all-conference and First team all defense in basketball, a member of the Heart of Illinois conference all-star game in basketball and First team all-conference unanimous selection in volleyball and won the Women’s sportsmanship award. Academically, she was a member of the National Honor Society, was Cum laude, and was a YWCA (Young women’s Christian association, outstanding student). She is majoring in education and plans on becoming a deaf educator. She is the daughter of Julie and Alan Rumbold.
