Biography
Taryn is a 2024 graduate of Lincolnwood High School, where she excelled in softball, basketball, and volleyball. As a freshman, she was named Rookie of the Year and received the Coach’s Award in volleyball. In softball, she earned the Leadership Award. In basketball, Taryn received the Mental Toughness Extra Effort Award and Defensive Player of the Year Award in both her sophomore and senior years. During her junior year, she was recognized for Best Three-Point Percentage and made 2nd Team All-Conference. In her senior year, she was named 2nd Team MSM All-Conference in both basketball and volleyball. In softball, she was awarded 1st Team MSM All-Conference honors. Additionally, she received Defensive MVP and the All-Out Award in volleyball and was selected to the All-Tournament Team at the Grace Volleyball Tournament. Taryn was also honored with the FFA Turf Grass Management Award and the Illinois FFA Degree. She was named Female Athlete of the Year in her senior year. Academically, she was recognized as Southwestern Conference Academic All-Conference throughout high school, received the Rho Kappa National Social Honor Society award, and earned a leadership award.
Throughout high school, Taryn played travel softball for Voodoo, Heat Extreme, and Central Illinois Riot. Her future plans include becoming a physical education teacher. She is the daughter of Justin and Beth Millburg.
