Ryan Hickman

Coach Ryan Hickman enters his first year as head coach for the Loggers after being the assistant for the last two years.  In his first year as the assistant, he helped the Loggers set the single season team record for home runs. That year the Loggers also made it to the District Championships and received votes for the Top 25 national rankings. Before Lincoln Land, Hickman was the assistant softball coach at MacMurray College and Robert Morris University-Springfield. At MacMurray, he helped players set new career highs and doubled their win total from previous years before the pandemic cut the season short. In his first year at Robert Morris, he helped lead the team to the USCAA World Series and a 6th place finish in the nation. Hickman is a Springfield native and 2013 graduate of Sacred Heart-Griffin High School where he played baseball and football. He continued his baseball career for two years at Carl Sandburg College in Galesburg, Illinois and then William Woods University in Fulton, Missouri. Hickman graduated from William Woods with a Bachelor of Science in Communications and from the University of Missouri-Columbia with his Master's in Education.
"I am very grateful for the opportunity to continue the success of the softball program. I learned a lot from Coach Wisner as her assistant and I know that knowledge she passed on to me will pay dividends. I cannot thank her enough for introducing me to this program because this program has a rich history and being a part of it has been unbelievable."
