Chase has worked in the esports sector off and on for over seven (7) years through a variety of titles including Team Fortress 2, Overwatch, and most prolifically, Smash Bros. Ultimate. For four (4) years he has been one of the driving forces for Smash Bros. in the Midwest helping run majors such as Smash n Splash, large tournaments such as Paradigm Shift, the Midwest Arena series,and the Smash Out series, as well as collegiate focused events like the Smash of the Titans series and Show me Your Moves. He is also the head of the Midwest Top 50 committee and the Great River Valley region, both of which he's founded. Before picking up coaching DeWitt was the CEO of the Macomb Esports Association (MESA) which helped bring competitive video games to disadvantaged youth in the Macomb, IL area. He has also helped grow grassroots scenes all over Western and Central Illinois as well as previously coached for a semester for Western Illinois University's Smash Team.

DeWitt hopes to bring a community minded, grassroots approach to the collegiate space, using his years of experience in the industry to create the strongest teams around.
