Coach Alyssa Burns begins her second year as assistant coach at LLCC. Born and raised in Macomb, Illinois, she began her career in esports at the age of 16, competing in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U, and Team Fortress 2, eventually leading her to become sponsored by the Macomb Esports Association, where she worked with former head coach, Chase Dewitt, and current head coach, Zachary Zahnle. As a competitor, Alyssa was ranked 8th and 9th on the first and second Western Illinois Power Rankings respectively, and even became the best King K. Rool main in Illinois. "I'm very excited for this upcoming season, and incredibly grateful for LLCC for giving me this opportunity to teach the next generation of players. Esports is still relatively new in the collegiate scene, and I hope to be able to contribute all I can to help further its reach."
