Justin Knoedler

Justin is entering his 6th year as a coach for the Loggers. He has been affiliated with the baseball program for the past 15 years in multiple capacities. Justin is a local native and a graduate of Springfield High School. He attended Lincoln Land from 1999-2000 along with his twin brother Jason. They helped lead the Loggers to their second National Championship in 2000 and Justin was named the NJCAA Player of the Year. After LLCC he attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio for one year and was then drafted in the 5th round of the MLB draft by the San Francisco Giants. Justin caught 10 seasons in professional baseball for six different MLB organizations, including the A’s, Cardinals, Marlins, White Sox, and Dodgers. He made his Major League debut is September of 2004 with Giants. Justin currently holds the LLCC career home run record of 34 and was inducted into the LLCC Sports Hall of Fame in 2010.

Justin brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the program. Justin began his coaching with the Loggers in his off seasons, as he prepared for his own playing season. He primarily works everyday with the hitters and catchers and also plays a vital role in the development of the in season and off season strength and conditioning programs. He is currently the LLCC Fitness Center Coordinator and private instructor at Body Symmetry. Justin resides in Springfield, Illinois with his wife Ann and two dogs Kramer and Cooper.
