Brown hit two home runs and drove in four, but the Loggers lost to MAC 20-12 on Tuesday. Brown homered in the second and fifth innings. The Loggers collected 16 hits and MAC had 17 in the high-scoring affair.
MAC Baseball jumped out to the lead in the top of the second inning after Weinstein hit a solo home run to left field, Kiper hit a solo home run to right field, Julian hit a solo home run to right field, Kight hit a solo home run to left field, Shee singled, scoring one run, and Kiper hit a grand slam to right field. Brown homered to left field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the second for the Loggers.
The Loggers scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the fifth inning. Barnes hit a grand slam to center field, Brown hit a solo home run to center field, and Spering doubled, scoring one run.
Loggers made the score 18-11 in the bottom of the eighth inning when Bowleshit a solo home run to center field, and Brown doubled, scoring one run.
McDaniel earned the win for MAC. The starter allowed seven hits and two runs over four innings, striking out two and walking none. Tame pitched three innings in relief for Loggers. The hurler gave up seven hits and 10 runs while, striking out four and walking five. Charpentier took the loss for Loggers. The starting pitcher went one inning, allowing two runs on two hits, striking out one and walking none.
The Loggers amassed 16 hits in the game. Barnes drove the middle of the lineup, leading the Loggers with five runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 3-for-4 on the day. Bowles and Spering each collected multiple hits for the Loggers. The Loggers turned one double play in the game. The Loggers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Spering had the most chances in the field with 11.
