Loggers Drop Two Close Games to the Hawks

Lincoln Land CC Falls To Heartland CC Softball Spring In High-Scoring Affair

March 22, 2026 vs. Heartland CC Softball Spring

Both teams put up a bunch of runs, but Lincoln Land CC fell to Heartland CC Softball Spring 12-11 at The Corn Crib on Sunday. Heartland CC Softball Spring collected nine hits, while Lincoln Land CC had 18.

Lincoln Land CC fought back after falling down by seven runs in the second inning. The comeback fell just short though. Lincoln Land CC closed the gap by scoring on a triple, a single, and a double.

Lincoln Land CC opened the scoring in the top of the first thanks to two singles. Lincoln Land CC first got on the board when Feldmann singled, scoring one run.
Heartland CC Softball Spring tied the game in the bottom of the first thanks to a single by Oleniczak, and a fly out by Johnson.

Lincoln Land CC captured the lead, 5-2, in the top of the second after Griffith singled down the left field line, Finchum grounded out, and Rohn doubled to center field, each scoring one run.
Heartland CC Softball Spring flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring 10 runs on four hits to take the lead, 12-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a grand slam to right field by Beckett following a 6-pitch at-bat that drove in four.

Brown earned the win for Heartland CC Softball Spring 26. The righty surrendered 16 hits and nine runs (eight earned) over six and one-third innings, striking out one and walking one. Lorengo pitched four and one-third innings in relief for Lincoln Land CC. The reliever allowed two hits and zero runs while, striking out two and walking two. Nestler took the loss for Lincoln Land CC. The right-handed pitcher went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering 12 runs (three earned) on seven hits, striking out two and walking five.

Lincoln Land CC collected 18 hits in the game. Feldmann drove the middle of the lineup, leading Lincoln Land CC with four runs batted in. The number three hitter went 4-for-5 on the day. Griffith, Rohn, Finchum, and McDonald each collected multiple hits for Lincoln Land CC. Lincoln Land CC turned one double play in the game.

Beckett led Heartland CC Softball Spring with five runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The right fielder went 2-for-3 on the day. Brown and Beckett each collected two hits for Heartland CC Softball Spring. Heartland CC Softball Spring 26 had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating seven walks for the game. Oakley and Lowery led the team with two walks each.

 

Game Goes Down To The Wire As Lincoln Land CC Loses To Heartland CC Softball Spring On Final Play

A walk-off left Lincoln Land CC on the wrong end of a 13-12 defeat to Heartland CC Softball Spring 26 on Sunday at The Corn Crib. The game was tied at 12 in the bottom of the seventh when Oleniczak singled, scoring one run.

Despite the loss, Lincoln Land CC did collect 12 hits in the high-scoring affair. Unfortunately, Heartland CC Softball Spring 26 had 14 hits on the way to victory.
Lincoln Land CC got on the board in the top of the first inning after Cascio drew a walk, scoring one run, McDonald was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Boden hit a grand slam to right field.

Lincoln Land CC added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Goetter walked, and Feldmann singled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Heartland CC Softball Spring jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the sixth inning after Adkins singled to center field, and Condie-Espinosa homered to right field, each scoring two runs.

Heartland CC Softball Spring committed an error, which helped Lincoln Land CCtie the game at 12 in the top of the seventh.
Eaves earned the win for Heartland CC Softball Spring 26. The hurler gave up 12 hits and 12 runs (11 earned) over seven innings, striking out one and walking eight. Camp pitched three and one-third innings in relief for Lincoln Land CC. The pitcher allowed six hits and six runs while, striking out none and walking one. Nestler took the loss for Lincoln Land CC. The reliever went two-thirds of an inning, allowing one run on two hits, striking out none and walking two. Griffith stepped in the circle first for Lincoln Land CC. The pitcher gave up six hits and six runs over two and one-third innings, striking out one and walking one.

Lincoln Land CC piled up 12 hits in the game. Boden, the number seven hitter for Lincoln Land CC, led the way with four runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-4 on the day. Feldmann and Griffith each collected three hits for Lincoln Land CC. Cascio paced Lincoln Land CC with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, collecting eight walks for the game.

Heartland CC Softball Spring 26 tallied 14 hits in the game. Adkins led Heartland CC Softball Spring 26 with seven runs batted in. The catcher went 4-for-4 on the day. Oleniczak, Brown, Oakley, and Beckett each collected multiple hits for Heartland CC Softball Spring 26. Oakley paced Heartland CC Softball Spring 26 with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing four walks for the game.
