Finchum With 3 Hits As Lincoln Land CC Beat Olney Central Blue Knights

Finchum collected three hits in four at bats, as Lincoln Land CC defeated Olney Central Blue Knights 7-3 on Saturday at Branson Rec Plex Softball Fields. Finchum tripled in the first inning, singled in the seventh inning, and singled in the sixth inning.

Lincoln Land CC were the first to get on the board in the first when Feldmann singled, scoring one run. Olney Central Blue Knights took the lead in the bottom of the fourth. Odum doubled, scoring two runs, to give Olney Central Blue Knights the leg up, 2-1.

Lincoln Land CC captured the lead, 4-2, in the top of the sixth when Lorengo singled, scoring one run, and Goetter tripled, scoring two runs.

Griffith earned the win for Lincoln Land CC. The hurler surrendered five hits and three runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. Francois stepped in the circle first for Olney Central Blue Knights. The righty gave up two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out four and walking four.

Goetter and Finchum were tough to handle back-to-back in the lineup, as each drove in two runs for Lincoln Land CC. McDonald collected two hits for Lincoln Land CC in three at bats. Boden led Lincoln Land CC with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, tallying seven walks for the game. Lincoln Land CC didn't commit a single error in the field. McDonald had the most chances in the field with seven.

Lincoln Land CC easily dispatched MACC Greyhounds on Saturday at Branson Rec Plex Softball Fields, 8-0.

Lincoln Land CC opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Lincoln Land CC first got on the board when Wheatley singled, scoring one run.
Nestler earned the win for Lincoln Land CC. The pitcher gave up three hits and zero runs over five innings, striking out five and walking two. Shelton took the loss for MACC Greyhounds. The pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, giving up six runs (three earned) on eight hits, striking out none and walking two. #10 threw one inning of shutout ball for Lincoln Land CC in relief. The reliever allowed one hit, striking out none and walking none.

Lincoln Land CC amassed 11 hits in the game. Wheatley drove the middle of the lineup, leading Lincoln Land CC with two runs batted in.
