Lincoln Land CC Come Up Short Against NOC Lady Mavs

Lincoln Land CC lost to NOC Lady Mavs 5-3 on Friday at Branson RecPlex. Lincoln Land CC got on the board in the top of the first inning after Feldmann singled to center field, and NOC Lady Mavs committed an error, each scoring one run. NOC Lady Mavs jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after SCHUTZ singled to left field, and HEDGES walked, each scoring one run.
NOC Lady Mavs added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Rich flew out, and SCHUTZ singled to left field, each scoring one run.
Peetoom earned the win for NOC Lady Mavs. The pitcher gave up six hits and three runs (two earned) over six and two-thirds innings, striking out five and walking three. Lincoln Land CC could not keep pace with Jefferson College 8-3 on Friday at Branson Rec Plex Softball Fields.
Jefferson College got on the board in the top of the first inning after Veselske singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, and Taylor singled, scoring one run.
Taylor earned the win for Jefferson College. The pitcher surrendered one hit and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking none. Nestler took the loss for Lincoln Land CC. The hurler went seven innings, giving up eight runs (one earned) on six hits, striking out three and walking four.
Rohn provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Lincoln Land CC with three runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Goetter went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Lincoln Land CC in hits.
Chevrier drove the middle of the lineup, leading Jefferson College with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-5 on the day. Rowinsky led Jefferson College with two hits in four at bats.
