The Lincoln Land Logger men's basketball team trailed from the first possession and the day did not get much better from there on their way to a 93-54 defeat by the Jaguars of Danville Area Community College.
The Loggers allowed the first 7 points of the game and quickly found themselves down 11. In the first half that number ballooned to as high as 18 before fighting back to get within 10 in the closing minutes of the first half. Lincoln Land went into the break trailing 38-28.
Early in the second half the Loggers got to as close as 8 for the first time since 3:00 in to the contest. From there, the floodwater opened for the Jaguars who used a 15-0 run and a 24-4 run to quick turn that 8 point game into a runaway victory, 93-54.
Lincoln Land lost every statistical category and only two Loggers got to double digits in the afternoon, Jalen Ashely and Keshaun Harlan, with 10 a piece.
Lincoln Land now falls to 4-6 in the season and 1-2 in MWAC play. The Loggers head back out on the road Wednesday evening to Godfrey to take on Lewis and Clark.
