Loggers Split on Last Day of the LLCC Invitational

The Loggers split on Day 2 of the Lincoln Land Invitational, losing to Ellsworth Community College 20-25, 25-23, 12-25, and 21-25. Ella Kinkelaar earned another double-double with 31 assists and 15 digs, Izzy Lynch picked up 14 digs, Morgan Cowdrey had a double-double as well with 10 digs and 11 kills, Harper Darr had 9 digs, and Kaylee Abens had 7 digs for the Loggers. Morgan Cowdrey led the Loggers in kills with 11, Harper Darr and Savannah Kaeb each had 8, Ella Kinkelaar contributed 6 kills, Gracie Brockett had 5, and Kailyn Jefferson had 4 kills. Izzy Lynch earned 5 assists and 1 ace, while Morgan Cowdrey had 3 assists and 2 aces. Ella Kinkelaar also contributed 2 aces for the Loggers. Kailyn Jefferson and Gracie Brockett each had 2 solo blocks against Ellsworth, while Harper Darr had 1. Morgan Cowdrey, Harper Darr, Savannah Kaeb, and Gracie Brockett each had 1 block assist. 

The Loggers ended the tournament with a sweep against Triton College 25-19, 25-19, and 25-11. Kailyn Jefferson led the Loggers in kills with 10 and hit an impressive .529, Gracie Brockett followed right behind with 9, Ella Kinkelaar earned 7 kills hitting an impressive .700, Savannah Kaeb earned 6 kills, Morgan Cowdrey had 3 kills, and Livia Havera contributed 2 kills. Ella Kinkelaar chalked up 27 assists, and Izzy Lynch contributed 6 for the Loggers. Liv Havera was on fire at the service line with 5 total aces, Morgan Cowdrey had 2, and Kinkelaar had 1 ace. Kaylee Abens led the Loggers in digs with 9, Ella Kinkelaar followed Abens with 8, Gracie Brockett, Izzy Lynch, Morgan Cowdrey, and Harper Darr each contributed 5 digs, and Liv Havera and Kailyn Jefferson had 2 digs each. Harper Darr and Kailyn Jefferson each earned 1 solo block, Savannah Kaeb and Ella Kinkelaar each collected 1 solo block and 2 block assists, Gracie Brocket had 1 solo block and 1 block assist, and Morgan Cowdrey earned 1 block assist. 

The Loggers travel to Quincy, IL to compete against John Wood Community College this Wednesday at 6 pm.
