Neuhoff's Clutch Hitting Propels Loggers To Victory Over Parkland College Cobras

Brooks Neuhoff drove in four runs on one hit to lead the Loggers past Parkland College Cobras 10-1 on Friday. In the seventh inning, Brooks Neuhoff hit a grand slam to left field.
The Loggers won thanks in part to six runs in the third inning. Nolan Turner singled, scoring one run, Seth Winkler drew a walk, scoring one run, Andrew Hendrickson hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run, Ethan Hurst singled, scoring one run, Payten Mugele singled, scoring one run, and Braylan Smith singled, scoring one run.
Parkland College Cobras were the first to get on the board in the first when Andrew Gallegos singled, scoring one run. Seth Impson earned the win for the Loggers. The pitcher allowed four hits and one run (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out three and walking two. Tyler Tylka stepped on the bump first for Parkland College Cobras. The right-handed pitcher surrendered six hits and six runs over two and one-third innings, striking out three and walking three.
The Loggers accumulated nine hits in the game. Andrew Hendrickson went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Loggers in hits.
Andrew Gallegos led Parkland College Cobras with one run batted in. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Number seven hitter, John Shuey, showed the depth of Parkland College Cobras's lineup, by leading them with two hits in two at bats. Parkland College Cobras turned one double play in the game. Parkland College Cobras didn't commit a single error in the field. Matt Carrano had the most chances in the field with six.
Next game for the Loggers is tomorrow, May 10th at home at 11:00 am against Vincennes.
