Game 1 - Loggers Cling To Victory As John Wood CC Nearly Erase 4-Run Deficit

The Loggers built a 4-run lead in the fifth inning and then held off John Wood CC's charge for a 5-4 victory on Friday. John Wood CC closed the gap by scoring on a solo home run, an error, and a single. A double by Gavin Duran put John Wood CC on the board in the top of the first.
The Loggers took the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the second thanks to singles by Nolan Turner, and Andrew Hendrickson. The Loggers scored one run in the bottom of the third on a solo home run to right field by Braylan Smith.
The Loggers scored one run in the bottom of the fifth on a solo home run to left field by Ethan Hurst. John Wood CC scored one run in the top of the sixth on a solo home run to left field by Hayden Rakestraw.
Seth Impson earned the win for the Loggers. The starter gave up five hits and four runs (two earned) over seven and one-third innings, striking out eight and walking four. Quin Saxer took the loss for John Wood CC. The starter went five innings, surrendering five runs on seven hits, striking out seven and walking two. Ryan Oswald collected the save.
Andrew Hendrickson provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led the Loggers with two runs batted in. The 3-hole hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. Braylan Smith and Nolan Turner each collected two hits for Loggers. The Loggers turned one double play in the game.

Game 2 - Turner A Difficult Out As Loggers Defeat John Wood CCÂ

Nolan Turner collected four hits in four at bats, as the Loggers defeated John Wood CC 10-5 on Friday. Nolan Turner singled in the first inning, singled in the first inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the sixth inning.
A home run to right field by Kevin Martinez put John Wood CC on the board in the top of the first. The Loggers jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Ethan Hurst singled to right field, Payten Mugele walked, Braylan Smith walked, Brooks Neuhoff singled to center field, Jack Ford grounded out, Colbie Glenn singled to left field, and Nolan Turner singled to the left side of the infield, each scoring one run.

Kevin Martinez took the loss for John Wood CC. The starting pitcher went three and two-thirds innings, giving up nine runs on eight hits, striking out two and walking four.
