St. Louis Takes Two Games Against Lincoln Land

Game 1 - Lincoln Land Loggers Lead Slips In Loss To St. Louis CC

Tuesday's game against St. Louis CC was a heartbreaker for Lincoln Land Loggers, as they lost the lead late in a 3-2 defeat at LLCC. St. Louis CC were down 2-1 in the top of the sixth inning when B Davis singled, scoring two runs.

The pitching was strong on both sides. St. Louis CC pitchers struck out four, while Lincoln Land Loggers sat down nine. Lincoln Land Loggers opened the scoring in the bottom of the first thanks to two singles. Lincoln Land Loggers first got on the board when Shelby Finchum singled, scoring one run. St. Louis CC took the lead, 3-2, in the top of the sixth thanks to singles by T Peery, and B Davis.

C Stahlhut earned the win for St. Louis CC. The hurler gave up four hits and two runs (zero earned) over seven innings, striking out four and walking one. Faith Nestler took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers. The right-handed pitcher went seven innings, surrendering three runs on nine hits, striking out nine and walking none.

Ryleigh Davidson led Lincoln Land Loggers with one run batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Abby Jackson, Ryleigh Davidson, Shelby Finchum, and Maddie Adams each collected one hit for Lincoln Land Loggers. Lincoln Land Loggers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Abby Mcdonald had the most chances in the field with nine.

B Davis, the number seven hitter for St. Louis CC, led the way with two runs batted in. The outfielder went 1-for-3 on the day. P Glasgow, C Stahlhut, and E Newman each collected two hits for St. Louis CC.

Game 2 - Third-Inning Burst Enough To Lead St. Louis CC Past Lincoln Land Loggers

St. Louis CC scored five runs in the third inning, which helped them defeat Lincoln Land Loggers 9-1 on Tuesday at LLCC.

A fielder's choice by M Schieffer put St. Louis CC on the board in the top of the first. St. Louis CC scored five runs on two hits in the top of the third inning. B Davis drew a walk, scoring one run, A Pope grounded out, scoring one run, A Bellamy singled, scoring one run, and a passed ball scored two runs.

A Ranck earned the win for St. Louis CC. The starter gave up one hit and one run over two innings, striking out one and walking three. Reagan Jonas took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers. The starting pitcher went two innings, giving up five runs (four earned) on two hits, striking out two and walking four.

Ryleigh Davidson went 1-for-2 at the plate and led the team with one run batted in. Maddie Adams set the tone at the top of the lineup, leading Lincoln Land Loggers with two hits in two at bats. Shelby Finchum paced Lincoln Land Loggers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, tallying six walks for the game.

A Bellamy and M Schieffer each collected two hits for St. Louis CC. A Bellamy, M Schieffer, C Mora, A Pope, B Davis, and E Newman each drove in one run for St. Louis CC. St. Louis CC had a strong eye at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. P Glasgow and B Davis led the team with two bases on balls each. St. Louis CC were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. C Stahlhut had the most chances in the field with six.

Lincoln Land Loggers will travel to Heartland Hawks for their next game on Saturday.
