Game 1 - Lincoln Land Loggers Fall Victim To Danville Area CC Rally

Despite leading by as many as six runs, Lincoln Land Loggers fell to Danville Area CC 12-7 on Friday at Danville, IL. Lincoln Land Loggers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Ryleigh Davidson singled, scoring one run, an error scored two runs, Abby Hendricks singled, scoring one run, and Camryn Patterson singled, scoring one run.
Lincoln Land Loggers added one run in the second. Ryleigh Davidson doubled to center field, making the score 6-0. Danville Area CC flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring eight runs on nine hits to take the lead, 8-6. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by G Richardson following a 6-pitch at-bat that drove in two. A tag up by G Richardson extended the Danville Area CC lead to 9-6 in the bottom of the third inning.
L Kehl earned the win for Danville Area CC. The reliever gave up five hits and two runs over six and two-thirds innings, striking out four and walking two. Faith Nestler took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers. The right-handed pitcher went three innings, surrendering 11 runs (nine earned) on 12 hits, striking out none and walking one. J Peal led things off in the circle for Danville Area CC. The pitcher allowed five hits and five runs (four earned) over one-third of an inning, striking out none and walking one.
Camryn Patterson and Ryleigh Davidson each collected two hits for Lincoln Land Loggers. Camryn Patterson, Ryleigh Davidson, and Abby Mcdonald each drove in two runs for Lincoln Land Loggers.
Danville Area CC collected 14 hits in the game. Number seven hitter, K Highley, showed the depth of Danville Area CC's lineup, by leading them with three hits in four at bats. M Gonski, C Hunt, M Herbert, A Brown, G Richardson, and P Cripe each drove in one run for Danville Area CC. E Myers and K Drew each collected multiple hits for Danville Area CC. K Highley stole two bases. Danville Area CC ran wild on the base paths, piling up three stolen bases for the game.

Game 2 - Fourth-Inning Burst Enough To Lead Danville Area CC Past Lincoln Land Loggers

Danville Area CC defeated Lincoln Land Loggers 12-2 on Friday at Danville, IL thanks in part to 10 runs in the fourth inning. Lincoln Land Loggers got on the board in the first inning after Ryleigh Davidson singled, scoring two runs. Danville Area CC tied the game up in the bottom of the second thanks to two singles. Danville Area CC tied the game at two on a single by G Richardson.
Danville Area CC flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the fourth, scoring 10 runs on five hits to take the lead, 12-2. The biggest blow in the inning was a single by G Richardson that drove in two. K Fasig earned the win for Danville Area CC. The starter surrendered seven hits and two runs over five innings, striking out two and walking two. Brooke Boden took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers. The starting pitcher went three innings, surrendering seven runs (six earned) on seven hits, striking out none and walking one.
Ryleigh Davidson drove the middle of the lineup, leading Lincoln Land Loggers with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-3 on the day. Brooke Goetter and Maddie Adams were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for Lincoln Land Loggers while hitting back-to-back.
G Richardson led Danville Area CC with five runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The left fielder went 3-for-3 on the day. K Drew collected two hits for Danville Area CC in two at bats. C Hunt paced Danville Area CC with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Danville Area CC were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. A Acton made the most plays with nine.
