Game 1 - Finchum Drives 4 Runners Home In Lincoln Land Loggers Victory Over John WoodÂ

Shelby Finchum drove in four runs on three hits to lead Lincoln Land Loggers past John Wood CC 9-1 on Tuesday at LLCC. Shelby Finchum doubled in the fourth scoring two, doubled in the first scoring one, and doubled in the third scoring one.
John Wood CC got on the board in the first inning after Elizabeth Tanner doubled, scoring one run. Shelby Finchum doubled to center field, which helped Lincoln Land Loggers tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. Lincoln Land Loggers took the lead, 4-1, in the bottom of the third thanks to doubles by Shelby Finchum, and Ryleigh Davidson.
Faith Nestler stepped in the circle first for Lincoln Land Loggers. The pitcher allowed three hits and one run (zero earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking two. Samantha Stevens opened the game for John Wood CC. The starting pitcher surrendered nine hits and nine runs (eight earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking five.
Ryleigh Davidson collected two hits for Lincoln Land Loggers in three at bats. Maddie Adams paced Lincoln Land Loggers with two walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, accumulating five walks for the game.

Game 2 - Goetter A Difficult Out As Lincoln Land Loggers Defeat John Wood

Brooke Goetter collected three hits in four at bats, as Lincoln Land Loggers defeated John Wood CC 11-7 on Tuesday at LLCC. Brooke Goetter singled in the fourth inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the sixth inning. Lincoln Land Loggers came back to win despite trailing 6-0 in the first.
John Wood CC jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Lubbert homered to left field, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, Harshbarger singled, scoring one run, Smith grounded out, scoring one run, and Pfaff laid down a sacrifice bunt, scoring one run.
Lincoln Land Loggers tied the game in the bottom of the fourth thanks to a single by Brooke Goetter, and a double by Ryleigh Davidson. A double by Maddie Adams gave Lincoln Land Loggers the lead, 8-7, in the bottom of the fifth.
Faith Nestler earned the win for Lincoln Land Loggers. The hurler gave up two hits and zero runs over two and two-thirds innings, striking out two and walking one. Bartels took the loss for John Wood CC. The starting pitcher went five innings, allowing 10 runs (eight earned) on 15 hits, striking out two and walking one. Brooke Boden stepped in the circle first for Lincoln Land Loggers. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and six runs (five earned) over one inning, striking out none and walking one. Brooke Goetter tossed one inning of zero-run ball for Lincoln Land Loggers in relief. The pitcher surrendered zero hits, striking out two and walking two.
