Loggers go 2-2 Against Lewis and Clark

Game 1 - Loggers Fall To Lewis and Clark CC Blazers Despite Strong Effort From Hurst

Ethan Hurst collected three hits in four at bats, but the Loggers lost to Lewis and Clark CC Blazers 15-5 on Sunday. Ethan Hurst doubled in the third inning, singled in the first inning, and singled in the fifth inning. The Loggers opened the scoring in the first after an error scored one run.

Lewis and Clark CC Blazers captured the lead, 4-1, in the top of the third when Jacoby Gross doubled, scoring one run, Alex Sckreckenberg doubled, scoring two runs, and Harrison Rakers singled, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the third inning, the Loggers went back into the lead after Ethan Hurst doubled to left field, Seth Impson singled to right field, Jack Ford grounded out, and the Loggers scored on a wild pitch, each scoring one run.

Lewis and Clark CC Blazers jumped into the lead in the top of the fourth when Nick Muskopf doubled, scoring two runs, and Isaac Lemanski grounded out, scoring one run.

Lewis and Clark CC Blazers scored six runs on two hits in the top of the fifth inning. Tristen Wargo drew a walk, scoring one run, Nick Muskopf drew a walk, scoring one run, Jacoby Gross was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, and Isaac Lemanski singled, scoring three runs.

Eli Garrett earned the win for Lewis and Clark CC Blazers. The starting pitcher surrendered seven hits and five runs (four earned) over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Andrew Hendrickson took the loss for the Loggers. The pitcher went three and one-third innings, giving up seven runs on six hits, striking out five and walking three.

Lewis and Clark CC Blazers amassed 10 hits in the game. Isaac Lemanski drove the middle of the lineup, leading Lewis and Clark CC Blazers with four runs batted in. The number three hitter went 2-for-5 on the day. Alex Sckreckenberg, Isaac Lemanski, and Nick Muskopf each collected two hits for Lewis and Clark CC Blazers. Lewis and Clark CC Blazers had patience at the plate, piling up seven walks for the game. Tristen Wargo, Drew Potthast, and Nick Muskopf led the team with two bases on balls each.

Game 2 - Loggers Defeat Lewis and Clark CC Blazers On Multiple Hit Performance By Smith

Braylan Smith collected three hits in three at bats, as Loggers defeated Lewis and Clark CC Blazers 11-1 on Sunday. Braylan Smith hit a solo home run to center field in the fifth inning, singled in the second inning, and singled in the third inning.

The Loggers scored six runs in the fifth inning on the way to victory. Braylan Smith hit a solo home run to center field, Seth Winkler singled, scoring one run, Ethan Hurst singled, scoring one run, Andrew Hendrickson doubled, scoring two runs, and Braylan Smith drew a walk, scoring one run. The Loggers got on the board in the bottom of the second inning after Colbie Glenn singled to the right side of the infield, and Nolan Turner grounded out, each scoring one run.

A double by Seth Impson, and a single by Kaeden Bowles helped the Loggers extend their early lead in the third. Lewis and Clark CC Blazers scored one run in the top of the fourth on a solo home run to center field by Alex Sckreckenberg.

Trent Koehler earned the win for the Loggers. The starter surrendered one hit and one run over five innings, striking out five and walking none. Chase Schrader took the loss for Lewis and Clark CC Blazers. The starter went four and one-third innings, giving up nine runs (eight earned) on 10 hits, striking out three and walking one.

The Loggers piled up 12 hits in the game. Andrew Hendrickson, Braylan Smith, and Kaeden Bowles each drove in two runs for the Loggers. Ethan Hurst and Seth Winkler each collected multiple hits for the Loggers.

Alex Sckreckenberg led Lewis and Clark CC Blazers with one run batted in. The infielder went 1-for-2 on the day.

Next up for Loggers is a game against Lake Land Lakers on Wednesday.
