Loggers Open Florida Play with Two Wins

Game 1 - Renfro's Big Day Propels Lincoln Land Loggers Past Cuyahoga Community College

Emmy Renfro drove in five runs on one hit to lead the Lincoln Land Loggers past Cuyahoga Community College 20-3 on Thursday at Hancock Park. Emmy Renfro hit a home run to left field in the second inning, scoring three runs, and hit a sacrifice fly in the first inning, scoring one.

Cuyahoga Community College were the first to get on the board in the first when Reese Adkins hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run.

The Loggers captured the lead, 3-1, in the bottom of the first after Abby Jackson doubled to right field, Allie Dolenc doubled to center field, and Emmy Renfro hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run. The Loggers added four more runs in the bottom of the second inning on four hits. Allie Dolenc singled, scoring one run, and Emmy Renfro homered to left field, scoring three runs.

The Loggers scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the third inning. Allie Dolenc singled, scoring one run, Reagan Jonas drew a walk, scoring one run, Brooke Goetter singled, scoring three runs, and Abby Hendricks singled, scoring one run.

The Loggers scored seven runs on zero hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Reagan Jonas drew a walk, scoring one run, Emmy Renfro was struck by a pitch, driving in a run, an error scored two runs, Abby Hendricks drew a walk, scoring one run, Madison Kloba drew a walk, scoring one run, and Shelby Finchum drew a walk, scoring one run.

Maddie Adams earned the win for Lincoln Land Loggers. The starter surrendered eight hits and three runs over five innings, striking out six and walking two. Madison Collins led things off in the circle for Cuyahoga Community College. The starter allowed nine hits and seven runs (three earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out none and walking none.

The Loggers piled up 13 hits in the game. Allie Dolenc went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead the Loggers in hits. Ryleigh Davidson, Brooke Goetter, and Shelby Finchum each collected multiple hits for the Loggers. The Loggers had patience at the plate, accumulating 10 walks for the game. Shelby Finchum and Reagan Jonas led the team with two free passes each. The Loggers didn't commit a single error in the field. Emmy Renfro had the most chances in the field with six.

Reese Adkins, Sammi Zabak, and Katelyn Emery each drove in one run for Cuyahoga Community College. Sammi Zabak went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Cuyahoga Community College in hits.

Game 2 - Dolenc's Big Day Propels Lincoln Land Loggers Past Mott Community College

Allie Dolenc drove in four runs on two hits to lead the Lincoln Land Loggers past Mott Community College 12-7 on Thursday at Hancock Park. Allie Dolenc hit a home run to right field in the seventh inning, scoring two runs, and doubled in the sixth inning, scoring one. The Loggers got on the board in the top of the first inning after Arika Hines induced Allie Dolenc to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored, and Maddie Adams doubled, scoring two runs.

Mott Community College took the lead in the bottom of the second. Cassie Sylvester singled, scoring two runs, to give Mott Community College the edge, 4-3. Mott Community College added one run in the third. Josie Spencer singled to center field, making the score 5-3.

The Loggers flipped the game on its head in the top of the sixth, scoring six runs on three hits to take the lead, 10-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a double by Brooke Boden that drove in two. The Loggers scored two runs in the top of the seventh on a home run to right field by Allie Dolenc.

Faith Nestler earned the win for Lincoln Land Loggers. The starter allowed 12 hits and seven runs (five earned) over seven innings, striking out five and walking one. Arika Hines started in the circle for Mott Community College. The pitcher surrendered seven hits and four runs (one earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking three.

The Loggers collected 13 hits in the game. Allie Dolenc, Brooke Boden, Emmy Renfro, Maddie Adams, and Abby Mcdonald each collected two hits for the Loggers. The Loggers had a strong eye at the plate, amassing six walks for the game.

Mott Community College tallied 12 hits in the game. Emma Benner drove the middle of the lineup, leading Mott Community College with two runs batted in. The cleanup hitter went 1-for-4 on the day. Cassie Sylvester went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Mott Community College in hits. Keira McGarvie and Khloe Williams each collected multiple hits for Mott Community College.
