Game 1 - Seth Winkler Powers Loggers Past Parkland College Cobras

Seth Winkler hit two home runs and drove in five as the Loggers defeated Parkland College Cobras 18-16 on Tuesday. Winkler homered in the second and third innings. Bats blistered as the Loggers collected 19 hits and Parkland College Cobras tallied nine in the high-scoring game.
The Loggers opened the scoring in the first after Ethan Hurst singled, scoring one run. The Parkland College Cobras took the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Will Applegate grounded out, and Michael Carrano Jr singled to right field, each scoring one run.
The Loggers jumped into the lead in the top of the second when Brooks Neuhoff doubled, scoring one run, and Winkler homered to left field, scoring three runs. Parkland College Cobras flipped the game on its head in the bottom of the second, scoring nine runs on six hits to take the lead, 11-5. The biggest blow in the inning was a grand slam to left field by Dawson Magrini that drove in four.
The Loggers flipped the game on its head in the top of the third, scoring nine runs on 10 hits to take the lead, 14-11. The biggest blow in the inning was a home run to left field by Braylan Smith that drove in three.
Four more the Loggers runs crossed the plate in the seventh inning to extend the lead to 18-11. Payten Mugele homered to left field, scoring two runs, and Kaeden Bowles hit a sacrifice fly, scoring two runs. Parkland College Cobras scored five runs on two hits in the bottom of the seventh inning. Magrini hit a solo home run to center field, Carrano Jr grounded out, scoring one run, and Jayden Patel homered to left field, scoring three runs.
Andrew Hendrickson earned the win for Loggers. The hurler allowed seven hits and 11 runs (three earned) over five innings, striking out six and walking two. Alex McHale took the loss for Parkland College Cobras. The righty went four innings, surrendering 14 runs on 15 hits, striking out four and walking two. Ryan Oswald and Garrick Winkeler each appeared in relief for Loggers.
The Loggers collected 19 hits in the game. Hurst and Winkler each collected four hits for the Loggers. Mugele, Smith, Neuhoff, and Seth Impson each collected multiple hits for the Loggers. The Loggers stole three bases in the game.
Parkland College Cobras amassed nine hits in the game. Magrini led Parkland College Cobras with five runs batted in from the number nine spot in the lineup. The outfielder went 2-for-4 on the day. Patel, Carrano Jr, and Magrini each collected two hits for Parkland College Cobras.

Game 2 - Depite Multiple Home Runs From Seth Winkler, Loggers Defeated By Parkland College Cobras

Seth Winkler hit two home runs and drove in three, but the Loggers lost to Parkland College Cobras 11-10 on Tuesday. Winkler homered in the second and sixth innings. The Loggers collected eight hits and Parkland College Cobras had seven in the high-scoring affair.
The Loggers jumped out to the lead in the top of the first inning after Andrew Hendrickson homered to right field, scoring three runs, Colbie Glenn singled, scoring one run, and Jack Ford doubled, scoring one run. The Loggers added to their lead with four runs in the top of the second inning thanks to home runs by Winkler and Ethan Hurst.
Parkland College Cobras scored three runs in the bottom of the fifth on a home run to right field by Michael Carrano Jr. The Loggers scored one run in the top of the sixth on a solo home run to left field by Winkler.
Parkland College Cobras tied the game in the bottom of the seventh thanks to a walk by Dawson Magrini, and a single by Jax Hisle. A single by Cody DelFavero gave Parkland College Cobras the lead, 11-10, in the bottom of the eighth.
Alec Bergman earned the win for Parkland College Cobras. The right-handed pitcher surrendered zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out four and walking two. Conrad Charpentier took the loss for the Loggers. The reliever went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering one run (zero earned) on three hits, striking out three and walking none. Trent Koehler stepped on the mound first for the Loggers. The righty gave up three hits and four runs (two earned) over four innings, striking out three and walking four. Jarron Thompson began the game for Parkland College Cobras. The pitcher allowed five hits and nine runs over two innings, striking out five and walking four.
Hendrickson and Winkler were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for the Loggers. Hendrickson and Winkler were a one-two punch in the lineup, as each drove in three runs for the Loggers. Nolan Turner led Loggers with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, piling up eight walks for the game. The Loggers turned one double play in the game.
Carrano Jr went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Parkland College Cobras in hits. Nick Guidici paced Parkland College Cobras with three walks. Overall, the team had patience at the plate, amassing 12 walks for the game. Parkland College Cobras turned two double plays in the game.
