Loggers Claim Victory Over Iowa Western Reivers

The Loggers were victorious against Iowa Western Reivers 4-1 on Monday at Sauget Illinois. A solo home run to left field by Trevor Geis put the Loggers on the board in the bottom of the third.
Seth Impson earned the win for the Loggers. The hurler allowed five hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out five and walking three. Dawson Thies took the loss for Iowa Western Reivers. The hurler went four innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out four and walking one. Luke Goss threw one inning of zero-run ball for Loggers in relief. The right-handed pitcher surrendered one hit, striking out none and walking one.
Payten Mugele, Ethan Hurst, Ryan Oswald, Kaeden Bowles, Nolan Turner, Geis, and Seth Winkler each collected one hit for the Loggers. Hurst, Oswald, Turner, and Geis each drove in one run for the Loggers. The Loggers turned two double plays in the game. Also, the Loggers were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Mugele made the most plays with seven.
Cooper Neville led Iowa Western Reivers with one run batted in. The leadoff hitter went 1-for-5 on the day. Coby Hatcher went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Iowa Western Reivers in hits. Iowa Western Reivers were sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Charlie Kalbrener had the most chances in the field with 10.

Loggers Defeats Triton College Trojans In Pitcher's Duel

Both teams were strong on the mound on Monday, but the Loggers defeated Triton College Trojans 1-0. Trent Koehler started the game for the Loggers and recorded nine outs. The Loggers didn't take the lead until later in the game. The game was tied at zero in the top of the fifth when Nolan Turner hit a solo home run to right field.
Garrick Winkeler earned the win for the Loggers. The righty surrendered two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking one. Carter Prochaska took the loss for the Trojans. The righty went five innings, allowing one run on two hits, striking out six and walking three. Koehler stepped on the bump first for the Loggers. The pitcher allowed one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking four.
Turner led the Loggers with one run batted in. The second baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Ryan Oswald and Turner each collected one hit for the Loggers.
Levi Hirst, Andrew Crenshaw, and Elliot Alisca each collected one hit for Triton College Trojans. Alisca stole two bases. Triton College Trojans were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Hirst made the most plays with eight.
