Both teams were strong on the mound on Friday, but the Loggers defeated Jackson State Community College 2-0. Trey Carter started the game for the Loggers and recorded 12 outs. The Loggers were the first to get on the board in the first when Payten Mugele hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. The Loggers added one run in the second after Seth Winkler singled to center field.
Carter earned the win for Loggers. The starting pitcher gave up two hits and zero runs over four innings, striking out five and walking two. Caden Moore opened the game for Jackson State Community College. The starting pitcher surrendered six hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking one. Trent Koehler tossed three innings of no-run ball for Loggers in relief. The hurler gave up three hits, striking out two and walking two.
The Loggers's Colbie Glenn, the number seven hitter, led Loggers with two hits in three at bats. Mugele and Winkler each drove in one run for Loggers. Loggers turned one double play in the game. The Loggers fell 4-3 to Arkansas State University - Mountain Home (ASUMH) on Friday despite out-hitting them six to five. Brooks Neuhoff led Loggers with two hits. The Loggers was right in it until ASUMH singled in the seventh inning. The Loggers opened the scoring in the third after Colbie Glenn singled, scoring one run. ASUMH jumped into the lead in the top of the seventh when an error scored one run, Spencer Mounce singled, scoring two runs, and Christopher Tillery singled, scoring one run.
Easton Baldridge earned the win for ASUMH. The reliever surrendered two hits and one run over two innings, striking out three and walking none. Mark Wolak took the loss for Loggers. The hurler went three and one-third innings, surrendering four runs (two earned) on four hits, striking out four and walking one. Andrew Hendrickson started the game for the Loggers. The hurler gave up zero hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out six and walking two. Masen Lemons stepped on the hill first for ASUMH. The starter gave up four hits and two runs over five innings, striking out two and walking none.
Kaeden Bowles, Neuhoff, and Glenn each drove in one run for the Loggers. The Loggers turned two double plays in the game.
Brody Miller, Tillery, Mounce, Weston Pschier, and Gabriel Ellison each collected one hit for ASUMH.
