Loggers Lose to Ranked Parkland

Parkland College - 75
Lincoln Land - 48

Lincoln Land took on the Parkland College Cobras Wednesday night in a Mid-West Athletic Conference contest but fell on the wrong end of the scoreboard with a 75-48 loss.

The Loggers had a strong start to the Wednesday night contest leading early and finding themselves tied at 11 just a few minutes in to the game. Lincoln Land has has offensive struggles for much of the season and one of the biggest points of struggle have been allowing large scoring runs by their opponents. Tonight after the second media timeout the Loggers gave up one of those runs. Parkland rattled off a 12-0 run over the next 9 minutes. The Loggers were able to get back within 8 until Parkland closed the half on another run, this time of 8-0 in the final 2:00 of the half. Parkland went in to the break leading 35-19.

Although lacking a long scoring run by the Cobras, the second half fared no better for the Loggers. Parkland was able to stay ahead by 15+ the entirety of the half and led by as many as 29. The final buzzer showed Parkland victorious 75-48.

A bright spot on offense was freshman Nate Moore who poured in a game and career high 17 and making LLCC's only three three-pointers for the evening. Freshman AJ Tillman was not far off Moore's final ending with 14 and grabbing a team high 6 boards.

Lincoln Land slumps to 1-4 in MWAC conference play and drops to 3-15 on the season. They take a break from conference games to head to Milwaukee this weekend to take on Bryant and Stratton College, who defeated LLCC 60-52 earlier this season.
