The Loggers easily dispatched Danville Area CC Jaguars on Friday at Springfield, 8-0. The Loggers got on the board in the first inning after Grant Pohlman hit a solo home run to left field. A hit by a pitch, and a triple by Hunter Moser helped the Loggers extend their early lead in the third.
Mitch Dye earned the win for the Loggers. The righty gave up four hits and zero runs over seven innings, striking out seven and walking three. Carter Wambach took the loss for Danville Area CC Jaguars. They went three innings, surrendering five runs on three hits, striking out one and walking three. Thomas Krueger threw one inning of no-run ball for the Loggers in relief. The right-handed pitcher gave up two hits, striking out one and walking one.
Moser led the Loggers with three runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The right-handed hitter went 1-for-2 on the day. The Loggers won big over Danville Area CC Jaguars 9-3 on Friday. Danville Area CC Jaguars were the first to get on the board in the first when Kody Morton homered to left field, scoring two runs. The Loggers jumped back into the lead in the bottom of the second inning after Chase Jetel grounded out, and Andrew Randazzo hit a sacrifice fly, each scoring one run.
The Loggers added to their early lead in the bottom of the third inning after Ethan Hurst singled, Jetel singled, Randazzo was struck by a pitch, and Andrew Hendrickson walked, each scoring one run. The Loggers scored one run in the bottom of the sixth on a solo home run to left field by Grant Pohlman.
Jack Wajda earned the win for the Loggers. The righty allowed four hits and three runs (two earned) over seven innings, striking out eight and walking none. Sam Monk took the loss for Danville Area CC Jaguars. The starting pitcher went three innings, giving up seven runs on five hits, striking out one and walking four.
Jetel and Randazzo each drove in two runs for Loggers. Caleb Royer led the Loggers with two hits in four at bats. Morton provided pop in the middle of the lineup, and led Danville Area CC Jaguars with two runs batted in. They went 1-for-3 on the day. Mason Rice, Brody Julian, Morton, and Ryan Degroot each collected one hit for Danville Area CC Jaguars.
