Loggers Season Comes to an end in the Regionals

G1 - Parkland 

The Loggers couldn't keep up with Parkland Cobras and fell 16-0 on Thursday. The Parkland Cobras got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Ryleigh Owens drew a walk, scoring one run, and Emma Mason singled, scoring two runs.

The Parkland Cobras scored seven runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. Kaylee Yost induced Lizzie Stiverson to hit into a fielder's choice, but two runs scored, Karley Yergler homered to center field, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, and Mia Ruder doubled, scoring two runs. A double by Owens, and a ground out by Mason helped Parkland extend their early lead in the third.

Yergler earned the win for the Parkland Cobras. They gave up one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking one. Yost took the loss for the Loggers. The right-handed pitcher went two innings, allowing 10 runs (seven earned) on six hits, striking out one and walking five. Sydney Glick, Charlie Hayes, Haley Willan, and Sage Carr each collected one hit for the Loggers.

The Parkland Cobras collected 12 hits in the game. Lexie Griffin and Owens were a force together in the lineup, as they each collected two hits for the Parkland Cobras. Mason, Stiverson, Yergler, Owens, and Ruder each drove in two runs for the Parkland Cobras.

The Parkland Cobras had a strong eye at the plate, amassing six walks for the game. The Parkland Cobras didn't commit a single error in the field. Alisha Frederick had the most chances in the field with five.

G2 - Parkland

The Parkland Cobras scored five runs in the first inning, which helped them defeat the Loggers 9-1 on Thursday. The Parkland Cobras got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Karley Yergler singled, scoring one run, and Emma Mason hit a grand slam to center field. A tag up by Addison Wallace extended the Parkland Cobras lead to 6-0 in the bottom of the second inning. Alisha Frederick homered to right field, scoring two runs in the bottom of the sixth for the Parkland Cobras.

Bailey Teasley stepped in the circle first for the Loggers. The starting pitcher allowed nine hits and nine runs (two earned) over five and one-third innings, striking out two and walking one. Ellie Vetter started in the circle for the Parkland Cobras. They gave up five hits and one run over six innings, striking out eight and walking two.

Destiny Loeb, Sydney Glick, Emmy Renfro, Charlie Hayes, and Sage Carr each collected one hit for the Loggers. Carr led the Loggers with one run batted in. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day.

Mason led the Parkland Cobras with four runs batted in from the number seven spot in the lineup. The third baseman went 1-for-3 on the day. Yergler and Mia Ruder each collected two hits for Parkland Cobras. The Parkland Cobras ran wild on the base paths, collecting three stolen bases for the game.
