G1 - Spoon River
The Loggers fell 9-5 to Spoon River College on Sunday despite out-hitting them 13 to 10. Charlie Hayes led the Loggers with three hits. Spoon River College got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Emily Meloche singled, Kylie Simmons grounded out, and Sarah Stufflebeam singled, each scoring one run. Spoon River College scored two runs in the bottom of the second on a home run to center field by Raivyn Millions. The Loggers scored three runs in the top of the sixth on a home run to left field by Maranda File.
Emma Slayback earned the win for Spoon River College. They surrendered eight hits and two runs (one earned) over four innings, striking out two and walking none. Kaylee Yost pitched four and two-thirds innings in relief for the Loggers. The right-handed pitcher gave up four hits and four runs (one earned) while, striking out six and walking four. File took the loss for the Loggers. The righty went one and one-third innings, surrendering five runs on six hits, striking out none and walking one.
The Loggers amassed 13 hits in the game. File went 1-for-1 at the plate as the pitcher led the team with three runs batted in. Destiny Loeb, Hannah Myers, and Allie Dolenc each collected multiple hits for the Loggers.
Simmons, Millions, Erin Pulliam, and Meloche each drove in two runs for Spoon River College. Pulliam led Spoon River College with three hits in four at bats. Brynna Seitz led Spoon River College with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, collecting five walks for the game. Seitz stole two bases. Spoon River College stole three bases in the game. Spoon River College turned one double play in the game.

G2 - Spoon River
The Loggers Softball 2024 couldn't keep up with Spoon River College and fell 7-1 on Sunday. Spoon River College jumped out to the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Erin Pulliam homered to center field, scoring two runs, and Sarah Stufflebeam doubled, scoring one run. Spoon River College added one run in the third. Stufflebeam doubled on a full count, making the score 4-1.
Allyson Harrold earned the win for Spoon River College. The starting pitcher surrendered two hits and one run over six innings, striking out five and walking one. Kylan Arndt took the loss for the Loggers. The righty went four innings, surrendering four runs on seven hits, striking out three and walking two.
Number eight hitter, Hannah Myers, showed the depth of the Loggers lineup, by leading them with two hits in three at bats. Sydney Glick led the Loggers with one run batted in.
Manuela Cianfriglia and Stufflebeam each collected two hits for Spoon River College. Cianfriglia, Stufflebeam, and Pulliam each drove in two runs for Spoon River College. Spoon River College were sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Emily Meloche made the most plays with six.
