The Loggers were the first to get on the board in the first when an error scored one run. Illinois Central College captured the lead, 2-1, in the bottom of the first after Shylar Boze hit into a fielder's choice, and Marlee Brown doubled, each scoring one run. Illinois Central College added to their early lead in the bottom of the second inning after Gracie White doubled, Nivarra Oredina doubled, and Brown singled, each scoring one run.
Illinois Central College scored nine runs on six hits in the bottom of the fourth inning. Boze singled, scoring one run, Brogan Hall drew a walk, scoring one run, Kylie Hyde doubled, scoring three runs, White singled, scoring one run, Marley Williamson doubled, scoring one run, and an error scored two runs.
Hall earned the win for Illinois Central College. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and three runs (zero earned) over five innings, striking out one and walking one. Kaylee Yost took the loss for the Loggers. The right-handed pitcher went three and one-third innings, giving up 10 runs (eight earned) on eight hits, striking out three and walking six.
