Loggers Take Both Games

Game 1 - University of Arkansas Rich Mountain Bucks 

Andrew Randazzo collected three hits in four at bats, as the Loggers defeated University of Arkansas Rich Mountain Bucks 11-5 on Sunday at Millington. Randazzo hit a solo home run to left field in the third inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the first inning. The Loggers opened the scoring in the first after Nolan McMasters hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. A single by Ethan Hurst extended the Loggers lead to 3-0 in the bottom of the second inning. Two more Loggers runs crossed the plate in the third inning to extend the lead to 5-0. Randazzo hit a solo home run to left field, and Chase Jetel was struck by a pitch, driving in a run. University of Arkansas Rich Mountain Bucks scored five runs on five hits in the top of the fourth inning. Jack Biliski singled, scoring two runs, Brett Justice tripled, scoring two runs, and Luke Crumpler hit a sacrifice fly, scoring one run. The Loggers captured the lead, 7-5, in the bottom of the fourth after Randazzo singled, and Caleb Royer doubled, each scoring one run. 

Zane Danielson earned the win for the Loggers. The reliever gave up two hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out five and walking one. Shuto Okumura took the loss for University of Arkansas Rich Mountain Bucks. They went one and one-third innings, giving up two runs on three hits, striking out none and walking none. Mark Wolak began the game for Loggers. The starting pitcher surrendered four hits and five runs over three innings, striking out three and walking two. Beau Ford led things off on the bump for University of Arkansas Rich Mountain Bucks Varsity. The right-handed pitcher surrendered four hits and five runs (four earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking three.

Andrew Hendrickson threw one inning of shutout ball for the Loggers in relief. The righty allowed zero hits, striking out one and walking none. The Loggers piled up 12 hits in the game.

Game 2 - North Arkansas Community College

Porter Conn was dominant on the bump, as they rang up 12 strikeouts in the Loggers's 10-3 victory over North Arkansas Community College on Sunday at Millington. Conn surrendered four hits and three runs over five innings while walking three. Chase Jetel collected three hits in four at bats in the win. Jetel singled in the fifth inning, singled in the third inning, and doubled in the seventh inning. The Loggers were the first to get on the board in the first when Andrew Randazzo tripled, scoring one run. Jackson Rains doubled, which helped North Arkansas Community College tie the game at one in the bottom of the first. In the top of the second, Loggers broke up the tie when Hunter Moser singled, scoring two runs. Then a single by Nolan McMasters followed to extend the lead to 4-1. A single by Jetel extended the Loggers lead to 5-1 in the top of the third inning.

Gunner Pace took the loss for North Arkansas Community College. The starting pitcher went four innings, allowing five runs on six hits, striking out two and walking two. Trey Carter and Ryan Oswald each threw shutout innings for the Loggers in relief.

The Loggers tallied 14 hits in the game. Jetel and Randazzo each collected three hits for the Loggers. McMasters and Caleb Royer each collected multiple hits for the Loggers. The Loggers turned one double play in the game.
