The Lincoln Land Women's Soccer (0-3-1) traveled to Centralia, IL to take on Kaskaskia College (1-0) today in a Region 24 matchup.
In a game filled with windy conditions, injuries, and yellow cards it was the Loggers who were able to capitalize first when Jenna Gulyash finished on a ball sent into the small box by Kyndel Moore to go up 1-0(8'). The Loggers would score again when Jenna Gulyash sent a backwards header into the goal off a corner kick by Lauren Klobnak and flicked into the air by Kyndel Moore to go up 2-0(20').
The injury filled Loggers with the wind in their face looked to keep the Blue Angels, out of the net and was successful until the Loggers were called for a foul in the box giving the Angels a penalty kick to get with in 1 goal to make the score 2-1(63').
The Blue Angels were able to counter a dangerous opportunity by the Loggers when they got a shot off inside the box with a long punt and breakaway race that lead to a shot that hit the bottom of the crossbar but still managed to find the back of the net to tie the score 2-2(88').
