As a kickoff to their NJCAAE Spring season Loggers Overwatch had a fierce battle against Hudson Valley Community College. As similarly matched rosters, their night went all the way to map 5 where the Loggers were narrowly beaten.
On Lijiang Tower, The Loggers had a difficult time finding point with HVCC's tank establishing an early perimeter and guarding with the aid of their Mercy. Unable to find purchase, LLCC's first map slipped away.
Moving on to King's Row LLCC was apprehensive but found their footing after their first defensive objective. Ian "Tankyboi" Smith lost his first life due to an over-aggressive Reinhardt charge but brought the team together in King's Row's winding alleys. Against an enemy Echo Tankyboi out-Shattered two Reinhardts simultaneously. When Micah "Hades" Jackson swapped to mirror the Echo he too managed to win the Reinhardt 1v2.
Map 3 was harrowing but successful for LLCC. Establishing a great start with a full 3 points on attack, their defense was nearly matched by HVCC. The map came down to a drawn out fight on final point where HVCC starved out each ultimate from the Loggers defense before making a full team flank. LLCC stuck it out through Ty "Seabear" Willis and Brandon "Light" Daugherty's abilities to find early picks on the HVCC Supports.
Colloseo went down as a loss for The Loggers as they found no consistent answer to the overpowering Reinhardt Mercy combo.
Finally on Nepal despite winning Sanctum Loggers lost first picks in several fights and couldn't place Light's Reaper close enough to backline picks or the enemy tank. With LLCC DPS consistently shut down they narrowly lost on overtime objective
Loggers start the season with a 0-1 record. Despite the loss, Loggers Overwatch is looking strong and eager for their next match on 2/22 streamed live on twitch.tv/loggersesports
