Softball plays to split in Florida

GAME ONE:
Two Pitchers Team Up As Lincoln Land Loggers Softball Shuts Out Lake Sumter Sate College


Lincoln Land Loggers Softball defeated Lake Sumter Sate College 4-0 on Sunday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout.
One bright spot for Lake Sumter Sate College was a single by 
Emily Kolwicz in the first inning.

Jacey Nall earned the win for Lincoln Land Loggers Softball. She surrendered zero runs on two hits over five innings, striking out five and walking one. Braylee Finck threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Brandi Davis took the loss for Lake Sumter Sate College. She lasted seven innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out three.

Lincoln Land Loggers Softball tallied seven hits in the game. Rebecca Littrel and Kourtney Zobrist each collected multiple hits for Lincoln Land Loggers Softball. Littrel led Lincoln Land Loggers Softball with three hits in four at bats.

GAME TWO:

Lincoln Land Loggers Softball Loses Lead Early In Defeat


Lincoln Land Loggers Softball watched the game slip away early and couldn't recover in an 8-1 loss to Lake Sumter Sate College on Sunday.
The 
Lincoln Land Loggers Softball struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Lake Sumter Sate College, giving up eight runs.
Lake Sumter Sate College got things started in the first inning. 
Jennifer Bryant drew a walk, scoring one run.

Cissy Doolittle got the win for Lake Sumter Sate College. She surrendered one run on six hits over seven innings, striking out six.
Madison Fields took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers Softball. She lasted three innings, allowing five hits and five runs.
Rebecca Littrel led Lincoln Land Loggers Softball with two hits in four at bats.

Casey Allen went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead Lake Sumter Sate College in hits. Lake Sumter Sate College was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Alyssa Woolums had the most chances in the field with six.
