GAME ONE:
Loggers Clinches Lead In Ninth Inning For Victory Over State Fair CC
Loggers snatched the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over State Fair CC on Sunday. The game was tied at three with Loggers batting in the top of the ninth when Jalen Ping's sac fly scored one run for Loggers.
State Fair CC got things moving in the first inning.  Brady Strickert drew a walk, scoring one run.
In the top of the seventh inning, Loggers tied things up at three.  Loggers scored one run when Jayden Reedsingled.
Loggers notched three runs in the seventh inning. Loggers offense in the inning was led by Jake Jurgensand Reed, all knocking in runs in the inning.
Ben Chapman pitched Loggers to victory. He went three innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out four.  Adam Rose threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Jake Lufft took the loss for State Fair CC. He surrendered one run on two hits over two innings, striking out one and walking zero.
Antonio Escano started the game for State Fair CC. He went six innings, allowing zero runs on three hits, striking out five and walking one TJ Painter started the game for Loggers. He surrendered three runs on five hits over five innings, striking out five
Jared Viele went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Loggers in hits.
Lufft led State Fair CC with two hits in two at bats.
GAME TWO:
Late Score Costs Loggers Against State Fair CC
Loggers stayed in it until the end, but State Fair CC pulled away late in a 4-3 victory on Sunday. State Fair CC was down 3-2 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Jordan McClellan tripled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.
Loggers lost despite out-hitting State Fair CC six to five.
In the first inning, Loggers got their offense started when Josh Graves grounded out, scoring one run.
State Fair CC evened things up at two in the bottom of the fourth inning.  McClellan drove in one when he tripled.
Andrew Clark earned the win for State Fair CC. He surrendered three runs on six hits over seven innings, striking out two and walking zero.
Gavin Wahlbrink took the loss for Loggers. He surrendered two runs on two hits over two-thirds of an inning, walking one.
Sep Mattera started the game for Loggers. He surrendered two runs on three hits over five innings, striking out three
Graves led Loggers with two hits in three at bats. Loggers didn't commit a single error in the field. Noah Diederich had five chances in the field, the most on the team.
McClellan went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead State Fair CC in hits. State Fair CC was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Clayton Meyer had the most chances in the field with 14.
