Lincoln Land baseball defeats Parkland 9-5 in the Region 24 Championship Game to advance to the NJCAA D2 Nationals. 

Lincoln Land split with Parkland two weekends ago, each going 2-2 over the four game series. Coming into the Championship game LLCC had gone 3-0 in the tournament, defeating Parkland once already in the tournament. 

The Loggers got scoring going in the first taking a 1-0 lead in the game. Parkland scored 2 over the next 3 innings to take a 2-1 lead. LLCC scored two in the bottom of the 6th to take a 4-2 lead. Parkland scored the game's next 3 runs and the Loggers went into the bottom of the 8th trailing 5-4. The Loggers found themselves needing to come back yet again. Talon File doubled and then scored on an error on the next batter. Chase Kuntzman followed it up with an RBI triple to put the Loggers ahead for good, 6-5. Freshman Jayden Reed put the game away for good knocking a triple that gave LLCC a 9-5 advantage going in to the 9th. Beau Atkins pitched a scoreless 9th to put the game away for the Loggers.

Lincoln Land finishes the Region 24 tournament 4-0 and advance to the NJCAA D2 National Tournament which will be held May 23-June 1st in Enid, Oklahoma. More information on the National Tournament will be released int he following days.
