Box Score GAME ONE - Walk-Off Seals Win For Mineral Area College Against Lincoln Land Loggers

Lincoln Land Loggers fell to Mineral Area College 7-6 on Saturday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at six with Mineral Area College batting in the bottom of the seventh when Alyssa Sago singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run.

Lincoln Land Loggers lost despite out-hitting Mineral Area College 13 to 12.

Lincoln Land Loggers opened up scoring in the first inning, when an error scored one run for Lincoln Land Loggers. Lincoln Land Loggers knotted the game up at six in the top of the sixth inning, when Madie Sims homered on a 0-2 count, scoring three runs.

Lincoln Land Loggers tallied three runs in the sixth inning.  Lincoln Land Loggers scored its runs on an RBI home run by Sims.
Mineral Area College scored six runs in the fifth inning.  Lexi Adams, Desiree Thomas,  Abbi Sampson, Sago, and Kati McCormack all drove in runs in the frame.

Sago got the win for Mineral Area College. She allowed 13 hits and six runs over seven innings, striking out two and walking one. Alyssa DeSpain took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers. She allowed seven hits and six runs over one and two-thirds innings. Jacey Nall started the game for Lincoln Land Loggers. She surrendered zero runs on three hits over three innings, striking out four and walking zero

Lincoln Land Loggers tallied one home run on the day. Sims put one out in the sixth inning. Lincoln Land Loggers scattered 13 hits in the game.  Sims, Katelyn Turbyfill, Nicole Robinson, and Hailey Patrick all collected multiple hits for Lincoln Land Loggers.  Turbyfill and Sims all had three hits to lead Lincoln Land Loggers.  Lincoln Land Loggers was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Katie Weller made the most plays with six.

Mineral Area College tallied 12 hits.  McCormack, Sago, Adams, and Thomas each had multiple hits for Mineral Area College.

GAME TWO - Two Lincoln Land Loggers Pitchers Combine To Defeat Mineral Area College In Shutout Game
Lincoln Land Loggers defeated Mineral Area College 9-0 on Saturday as two pitchers combined to throw a shutout. Kari Sarhage struck out Madyson McDermott to finish off the game.

Lincoln Land Loggers opened up scoring in the first inning.  Madie Sims drove in two when she doubled. Lincoln Land Loggers notched four runs in the fourth inning. The rally was led by singles by Sims and Brooke Webber.

One bright spot for Mineral Area College was a single by Kati McCormack in the third inning. 

Megan Behl took the win for Lincoln Land Loggers. She lasted three innings, allowing two hits and zero runs while striking out three and walking zero.  Sarhage threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Alyssa Rennick took the loss for Mineral Area College. She allowed 14 hits and eight runs over three and two-thirds innings, striking out three and walking zero.

Lincoln Land Loggers collected 15 hits on the day.  Sims, Webber, Abigail Walters, Katie Jarrett, Courtney Keller, Katelyn Turbyfill, and Shaye Virgin all managed multiple hits for Lincoln Land Loggers.  Sims led Lincoln Land Loggers with three hits in four at bats.  Lincoln Land Loggers was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Sims made the most plays with five.
