GAME ONE - With Jacey On The Mound, Lincoln Land Loggers Shuts Out Lewis & Clark CC
Jacey Nall threw a shutout to lead Lincoln Land Loggers past Lewis & Clark CC 6-0 on Saturday.
Lincoln Land Loggers put up three runs in the sixth inning. The offensive onslaught by Lincoln Land Loggers was led by Katelyn Turbyfill, Kaley Mauer, and Brooke Webber, all driving in runs in the inning. A single by Allison Beckman in the second inning was a positive for Lewis & Clark CC.Â
Nall was the winning pitcher for Lincoln Land Loggers. She went seven innings, allowing zero runs on six hits and striking out seven. Sydney Henrichs took the loss for Lewis & Clark CC. She allowed eight hits and three runs over five innings, striking out four.
Lincoln Land Loggers tallied 11 hits in the game.  Webber and Mauer all managed multiple hits for Lincoln Land Loggers. Â
Mauer and Webber all had three hits to lead Lincoln Land Loggers.  Lincoln Land Loggers was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Katie Weller had the most chances in the field with ten. Lewis & Clark CC was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Lauren Meadows made the most plays with six.
GAME TWO - Lincoln Land Loggers Claims Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat Lewis & Clark CC
Lincoln Land Loggers nabbed the lead late in the game in a 5-4 victory over Lewis & Clark CC on Saturday. The game was tied at four with Lincoln Land Loggers batting in the bottom of the fifth when an error scored one run for Lincoln Land Loggers.
Lewis & Clark CC scored three runs in the fifth inning, but Lincoln Land Loggers still managed to pull out the victory. The big inning for Lewis & Clark CC came thanks to singles by Lauren Meadows, Bethany Muenstermann, and Abby Palen.
Lewis & Clark CC opened up scoring in the first inning.  Muenstermann drove in one when she singled.
Megan Behl got the win for Lincoln Land Loggers. She went five and a third innings, allowing four runs on eight hits, striking out three and walking zero.  Alyssa DeSpain threw one and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.  DeSpain recorded the last five outs to earn the save for Lincoln Land Loggers.
Hannah Rexford took the loss for Lewis & Clark CC. She allowed six hits and five runs over five and two-thirds innings, striking out four.
Lincoln Land Loggers tallied seven hits.  Madie Sims and Nicole Robinson all had multiple hits for Lincoln Land Loggers.  Robinson and Sims each managed two hits to lead Lincoln Land Loggers.
Lewis & Clark CC racked up nine hits in the game.  Peyton Tisdale, Meadows, and Muenstermann each racked up multiple hits for Lewis & Clark CC.  Tisdale went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Lewis & Clark CC in hits.
