GAME ONE - Early Lead For Santa Fe College Seals Fate For Lincoln Land Loggers

Lincoln Land Loggers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 3-0 loss to Santa Fe College on Friday. Santa Fe College scored on a double by Cameron Trehy in the first inning, a single by Emily Yakel in the first inning, and a single by Trehy in the second inning.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Santa Fe College pitchers struck out nine, while Lincoln Land Loggers sat down one.

Santa Fe College got things started in the first inning when Trehy doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run. A single by Kaley Mauer in the first inning was a positive for Lincoln Land Loggers.

Jessica Parsells earned the win for Santa Fe College. She allowed five hits and zero runs over two and a third innings, striking out two.  Dontaysha Gobourne threw four and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Alyssa DeSpain took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers. She went six innings, allowing three runs on six hits and striking out one.

Lincoln Land Loggers tallied six hits in the game.  Mauer and Madie Sims each collected multiple hits for Lincoln Land Loggers.  Sims and Mauer each managed two hits to lead Lincoln Land Loggers.  Lincoln Land Loggers was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Kourtney Zobrist made the most plays with five.

Santa Fe College racked up six hits.  Trehy and Adriana Garip all managed multiple hits for Santa Fe College. Santa Fe College didn't commit a single error in the field. Yakel had eight chances in the field, the most on the team.

GAME TWO - Lincoln Land Loggers Loses Lead Early In Defeat

Lincoln Land Loggers fell behind early and couldn't come back in a 9-2 loss to Santa Fe College on Friday. Santa Fe College scored on a walk by Cameron Trehy in the first inning, a groundout by Jolie Watson in the first inning, a double by Dontaysha Gobourne in the first inning, and a single by Adriana Garip in the second inning.

Lincoln Land Loggers lost despite out-hitting Santa Fe College seven to six.

Santa Fe College fired up the offense in the first inning.  Trehy drew a walk, scoring one run.

Santa Fe College scored four runs in the fourth inning.  Karina Ortiz-Munoz, Trehy,  Watson, and Gobourne each drove in runs during the inning.

Jamie Adams earned the win for Santa Fe College. She surrendered two runs on six hits over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one.

Jacey Nall took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers. She surrendered nine runs on five hits over three innings, striking out two.

Shaye Virgin went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Lincoln Land Loggers in hits.
