GAME ONE: Lincoln Land Loggers Beats Illinois College By Eight Runs
Lincoln Land Loggers easily dispatched Illinois College 10-2 on Thursday
Lincoln Land Loggers pulled away for good with three runs in the third inning. In the third Shaye Virgin singled on a 2-0 count, scoring one run and Madie Sims homered on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring two runs. Lincoln Land Loggers scored five runs in the fourth inning.  Abigail Walters, Virgin, and Kari Sarhage all drove in runs in the frame.
Jacey Nall pitched Lincoln Land Loggers to victory. She surrendered two runs on five hits over four innings, striking out eight.  Megan Behl threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Alissa Hodge took the loss for Illinois College. She lasted three and a third innings, allowing nine hits and ten runs.
Lincoln Land Loggers socked two home runs on the day. Sims put one out in the third inning. Brooke Webber had a dingerin the second inning. Lincoln Land Loggers totaled nine hits in the game.  Webber, Sims, and Virgin each managed multiple hits for Lincoln Land Loggers.  Virgin, Sims, and Webber each collected two hits to lead Lincoln Land Loggers.  Lincoln Land Loggers didn't commit a single error in the field. Katie Weller had the most chances in the field with nine.
Illinois College tallied six hits.  Emily Baalman and Jessica Belzer all managed multiple hits for Illinois College.
GAME TWO:Â Illinois College Nearly Erases 6-Run Deficit In Loss To Lincoln Land Loggers
Lincoln Land Loggers got out to a six-run lead in the sixth inning and held on for a 9-7 victory over Illinois College on Thursday. Illinois College scored four runs in the failed comeback on a double by Frankie Sikora, a single by Sydney Hood, and a wild pitch during Ryleigh Keith's at bat.
An early lead helped propel Lincoln Land Loggers to victory.  Lincoln Land Loggers scored on a single by Kaley Mauer, a single by Katie Weller, and a single by Katie Jarrett in the first inning.
Lincoln Land Loggers put up five runs in the sixth inning.  Lincoln Land Loggers offense in the inning was led by Courtney Keller, Nicole Robinson, Madie Sims, Katelyn Turbyfill, and Kourtney Zobrist, all driving in runs in the inning. Kari Sarhage earned the win for Lincoln Land Loggers. She went three and a third innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out four and walking one.  Megan Behl and Alyssa DeSpain entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Sarhage recorded the last ten outs to earn the save for Lincoln Land Loggers.
Olivia Jordan took the loss for Illinois College. She allowed five hits and four runs over one inning.
Lincoln Land Loggers tallied 15 hits on the day.  Jarrett, Mackenzie Wagner, and Robinson all collected multiple hits for Lincoln Land Loggers.  Wagner and Jarrett each collected three hits to lead Lincoln Land Loggers.
Illinois College tallied 12 hits in the game.  Skylar Dees, Sikora, Keith, and Jessica Belzereach had multiple hits for Illinois College.  Dees went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead Illinois College in hits.
