Lincoln Land Loggers Falls To South Florida CC On Walk-Off

Lincoln Land Loggers fell to South Florida CC 5-4 on Saturday on the final play of the game. The game was tied at four with South Florida CC batting in the bottom of the eighth when Megan Behl induced Janea Mobley to hit into a fielder's choice, but one run scored.

Lincoln Land Loggers fell behind by four runs in the second inning, but then tried to fight back.  Lincoln Land Loggers scored four runs in the failed comeback on a double by Katie Weller and a single by Brooke Webber.

South Florida CC got on the board in the second inning when an error scored one run for South Florida CC.

In the top of the sixth inning, Lincoln Land Loggers tied things up at four when Webbersingled on a 2-2 count, scoring two runs.

Lincoln Land Loggers tallied four runs in the sixth inning.  Lincoln Land Loggers big bats were led by Weller and Webber, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Baylee Haggard led the South Florida CC to victory on the rubber. She went eight innings, allowing four runs on six hits and striking out eight.

Behl took the loss for Lincoln Land Loggers. She allowed five hits and zero runs over four and a third innings, striking out four and walking zero.

Alyssa DeSpain started the game for Lincoln Land Loggers. She went three innings, allowing four runs on three hits and striking out three

Hailey Patrick led Lincoln Land Loggers with two hits in four at bats.

South Florida CC was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Hannah Eden made the most plays with nine.
