LLCC - 88

Parkland - 62

The Lincoln Land Loggers men's basketball team travelled to Champaign to take on Parkland College in a Mid-West Athletic Conference contest, but ended on the losing end of an 88-62 loss.

The game was lost for the Loggers on the boards. The Cobras of Parkland out-rebounded LLCC 38-15, including pulling in 12 rebounds on the offensive end to the Loggers 12 defensive rebounds. Lincoln Land trailed the entire game on the way to the loss.

Parkland raced out to a 15 point lead nearly right away and held that advantage through most of the first half including going in to half up 49-35. Both teams came out in the second half in a small lull as neither team scored fairly consistently for the first few minutes of half #2. Lincoln Land was hanging around and had the deficit down to 54-42. Parkland put the game out of reach at that point going on a 20-4 run and the Loggers found themselves down by their largest deficit of the game up to that point. LLCC trailed by as many as 29.

Sophomore Jake Pennell led all scorers with 20. Sophomore DJ Doolin added 13 and freshman Benji Eaker ended with 11 to round out the double digit scorers for Lincoln Land.

Lincoln Land is now 3-18 on the season and 0-2 in conference play. They will have a quick turn around as they play Wednesday evening in Danville against MWAC opponent Danville Area Community College.
