The Loggers men's basketball team allowed 13 three pointers and fell at home to the JV of Illinois College, 99-85.
Despite holding a lead as high as double digits and as late as 2:00 left in the first half, LLCC still fell. IC poured in multiple threes to close to half and went in with the 48-45 lead. The Loggers were never able to catch up and distance themselves from Illinois College. Although the Loggers found themselves down 84-80 and in possession of the ball, IC closed on a 15-5 run to end the game.
Freshmen Keon Jones had a career high 34 points in the losing effort. Sophomore Jordan Brooks and Freshmen Jered Cain were the only other Loggers in double digits with 14 and 10 respectively.
Lincoln Land falls to 1-7 on the season and will try to win again on Thursday evening in Bloomington against Illinois Wesleyan's JV.
