Loggers Sweep the Cobras 10-6 and 8-2 at Home
The Loggers posted 10 hits in game one of a make-up conference doubleheader against Parkland yesterday at home. LLCC, now 10-2 in the MWAC produced big bats in game one with 4 home runs by the middle of the lineup. Madie Sims hit her 7
th homer of the year, going 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs. Kari Sarhage, Ashton Dyche (2-for-4) and Whitney David (2-for-3) each added homer in the win.
Madison Routh was the starting pitcher for the Loggers. Routh went 4 innings, 1 earned run on 4 hits, no walks and 3 Ks. Addison Bryant relieved Routh in the 5
th inning. The Cobras scored 1 run in the 5
th and 4 in the 6
th to tie the game 6-6. LLCC answered in the bottom of the sixth to win the game 10-6. Bryant (5-2) was the winning pitcher. Kirbie Mendenhall was the losing pitcher for Parkland.
LLCC won game two 8-2. The Loggers scored 3 runs in the 2
nd inning, and 5 in the 4
th to take the lead 8-0. Parkland scored 1 run in the 5
th and 1 in the sixth. Tess Beckham was the winning pitcher. Beckham went 4.33 innings allowing 1 run on 7 hits, 2 walks and 5 strikeouts. Brittany Roady relieved Beckham in the 5
th inning. Roady allowed 1 run, unearned on 2 hits, no walks and 3 strikeouts.
Hailey Patrick was the only Logger with multiple hits. Patrick was 2-for-3 for the game. She had 3 RBIs in the 2
nd inning on a two out triple to left center.
The Loggers improve to 14-12 on the season and 10-2 in the MWAC.
