Madie Sims Lifts Loggers to Double Wins Against Parkland CC

GAME ONE:

LLCC defeated Parkland Cobras 9-1 and 6-2 in a conference and Region 24 matchup to end the regular season. 

Freshman Madie Sims led with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs in the double win.  She was 4-for-8 on the day with 3 home runs.

Sims hit her first home run of the day in the 6^th inning to drive in herself and Nicole Robinson who led the inning off with a single.  Katelyn Presley was 2-for-2 with 2 runs scored.  Freshman Katie Jarret came through with a double in the 2^nd inning to drive home Katelyn Presley and Hailey Patrick.

Brittany Roady (7-7) led the Loggers, allowing 1 run on 6 hits and 10 strike outs.  Losing pitcher for Parkland was Tori Witruk.

GAME TWO:
Parkland scored first in game two, scoring 1 run in the first and their second and final run in the 3^rd inning as the Loggers held on to win game two, 6-2.  Madie Sims blasted her 3^rd home run of the day and she went 3-for-4 with 2 RBIs and 2 runs scored.  Leftfielder Kaley Maurer was 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored.  Katie McLean had a double in game two as well.

Madie Routh (6-2) was the winning pitcher for LLCC.  Routh went all 7 innings, allowing 2 runs on 5 hits and 4 strikeouts.  Kirbie Mendenhall was the losing pitcher for Parkland.

The Loggers end the regular season 28-18 and 21-7 in the MWAC.   The Loggers will enter Region 24 Tournament play on Thursday, May 3^rd(TBD).
