Loggers Split with the Blazers 7-1 and 2-7
Ashton Dyche and Madie Sims led the Loggers with had two hits each as No. 19 Lincoln Land Community College defeated Lewis & Clark 7-1 in a Mid-West Athletic Conference and Region 24 doubleheader.
Kaley Maurer drove in a run and stole three bases.  Katie Jarrett had a pinch hit double to drive in Gracie Schweighart who pinch ran for Ashton Dyche.  Catcher Lexy Koester had a hit with RBI in the 4thinning. Addison Bryant (7-3) earned the pitching win with four strikeouts and one walk in six innings. She gave up three hits.  Bethany Muenstermann was the losing pitcher for Lewis & Clark in game one. Muenstermann allowed 6 runs on 7 hits in her 5 innings of work. Â
Lewis & Clark beat LLCC 7-2 in the other game. The Loggers left 8 runners on base in game two and 10 runners on in game one.  Katie McLean was 3-for-4 with two RBIs for the Loggers. Brittany Roady earned the loss and was relieved by Tessa Beckham before Maddie Routh shut the Blazers bats down in her 2 1/3 innings pitched.Â
Lincoln Land is now 22-14 on the season and 17-3 in the MWAC. The Loggers travel to Spoon River for a 1 pm double header.
